Shibori ribbon, handmade polymer spikes and crystals...oh my!  And it spins!

UPDATE: 7/13/2015 Clarification on rubber o-ring sizes

This is a sweet little pendant, petite, delicate but boy does it pack a punch.  This design was created to show off the wonderful beauty of shibori ribbon and how it can be used in bead weaving rather than the more used bead embroidery. It has sparkle with a top rivoli and crystals that trail in the bridges over the ribbon. The bead weaving emulates the folds of the ribbon to bring a lovely blend of swirls and flows.

You could also use it as a time capsule and leave a note buried in the core.....be it a note with your name, the date and "I beaded this!" or a poem....something that someday someone will find.

The tutorial comes with a link (on page 2) to a two hour video class where I take you through the steps and give tips...and ramble on....so it's just like I'm at your place beading with you  :)

The finished pendant measures 3" x 2" and has instrctions for adding a ribbon but you could just as easily add a beaded rope.  It's done entirely in peyote and tubular peyote so no tricky things to learn.

I have created a partial kit for this design (given my propensity for using unusual components) and as I created spikes for this design I have some individual ones available.  Check my Kits & Supplies section of the store.

You may sell items you make from my tutorial so long as you're not going into mass production. I do appreciate being given credit for the design. Please do not share, copy, sell, or otherwise distribute this tutorial as it is a violation of my copyright.  I do not allow teaching of my designs without discussion and arrangement with me. If we all behave ethically the bead world stays a happy place.
